In 2013, I joined an acting improvisation group, under the tutelage of a wonderful teacher Anetta Penczal, in Bournemouth. Practicing and performing improvisation acting each week for many years to follow.
This gave me an opportunity to explore many different characters and train my mind to think fast and creatively, learning from others and sharing ideas and passion for my new craft.
I have since had the pleasure of receiving acting coaching from the amazing Jacquie Crago, (of the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre in London), and the wonderful Amy Forrest, (also of the National Theatre and ITV drama).
I am currently studying the Sandford Meisner technique of acting with the leading teacher in south west England, Mark Cassidy, at the Cygnet Theatre in Exeter. A technique that develops a deeply authentic performance in any role.
In 2016, I was given my acting debut in a fabulous theatre production of the Charles Dickens classic novel "A Tale of Two Cities", playing the lead role of Sydney Carton at the Regent Theatre in Christchurch, Dorset. As a huge fan of the great Charles Dickens, this was a role I shall always treasure.
In 2019, I was thrilled to explore the genius writing of Noel Coward when I was awarded the lead role of Elyot Chase in his masterpiece "Private Lives", performing in various theatres throughout Dorset and Hampshire. A role for which I received critical acclaim and much praise.
My most accomplished role was in The Poole Passion Play's 2022 production of 'Footsteps' (written and directed by Ann Balaam). I was given the honour of playing the lead role of Jesus. My performance received comments from audiences such as "Mesmerising" and "Phenomenal", with others saying it was the first time they have been moved to tears at a play. I have also been asked to perform this role again in their 2024 production. Previously having a policy of casting a new actor as Jesus for each production, this is the first time any actor has been asked to play the role again in their 15 year history.
On Television and Film, I enjoyed the lead role in two Television commercials for 'Screwfix', playing a football manager in commercials that were aired on ITV and Sky Sports during England World Cup football matches and EFL football matches in 2018.
Since 2017 I have had experience as a background actor in major feature films. Working in film studios and on location, which was exhilarating and inspirational to say the least. I enjoyed every moment of being on the film set and it gave me a hunger for more. Plus a wonderful education for me as I was able to watch and study some very talented and famous actors up close as they rehearse and perform.
Highlights were working on the films "Happy New Year Colin Burstead" with Bill Paterson and Charles Dance (BBC2 2018) and "Howard’s End" with Matthew MacFadyen (BBC1 2017).
I regularly help film students at Bournemouth University by acting for free in their graduate course film productions. Bournemouth University is one of the most highly rated in England for producing film directors, producers, actors and technicians. Over 50 graduates have since worked on Oscar nominated films.
In 2018, I co-founded a new theatre company with 5 friends, Scaramouche Theatre Company and I produced and performed in their first production, “Private Lives” by Noel Coward. www.Scaramouche-Theatre.com
In my spare time, I have a great passion for learning esoteric knowledge. A journey of self discovery that began whilst practicing Tae Kwon-Do from 1986 to 1992, learning much about the mind and the spirit, which led me to study much more deeply the spiritual teachings and wisdom from many masters since. It is a never ending journey of expansion and fulfillment for me.
I also play the Aboriginal spiritual instrument, the Didgeridoo.
I was recently highly honoured to be asked to play the Didgeridoo on an album by my favourite rock guitarist, the former Genesis lead guitarist, Steve Hackett, on his album "At The Edge of The Light"

Having a very positive and spiritual outlook on life, I think all things, good or bad, happen for a reason and everything is a stepping stone to something better when you apply a positive meaning to it.
I believe we are given dreams for a reason, and whether they manifest or not depends on how much we really believe and feel it.... so... watch this space!
