After many days hard work on the portrait and painting for over 30 hours, I travelled to London for the world premiere of the film 'Duplicity' starring Julia Roberts, at Leicester Square in March 2009.
I left home at 5.30am to travel to London to ensure I was at the front of the crowd.
I waited all day in the pouring rain, getting soaked, but my painting was safe in my art case. Luckily the rain stopped just before Julia arrived!
Julia signed for lots of fans and I was lucky to meet her as she was just about to turn to go into the cinema when, at the very last minute, she saw my painting and came over to me.
Julia said "Wow! do you want me to sign it?", I said "Yes please!" and Julia kindly signed it for me.
It was a wonderful moment to meet one of the world's greatest actresses. She seemed so kind and friendly, and it was wonderful to see her signing for so many fans who had waited all day.
