I worked for over 30 hours on this portrait of Joanna after hearing she would be signing autographs at a film convention in London, October 2008.

I travelled 100 miles up to London to meet her at the event.

When Joanna saw the painting she was delighted with it and said ‘You are wonderful!’.

Joanna was wonderful herself too, looking very beautiful, she was extremely warm hearted and kind to me as we chatted for a few minutes about my artwork and when I explained about my mother passing away suddenly 2 years previous, she reached out and clasped my hand with genuine affection. A truly lovely moment.

Joanna was so charming and kindly posed for a photo with me.

A really wonderful meeting to remember forever.
