Tom Baker

Dr Who

Painted in November 2006

Acrylic on canvas - 30 inch x 24 inch

Sold to a client in England

Autographed by Tom in November 2006

I read that Tom Baker would be signing autographs at a Sci-Fi convention in Birmingham in November 2006.

I loved his performances as Dr Who and so set work to create a painting of him. I worked tirelessly for over 70 hours to create a piece that I felt was exciting. Using a paste to create a 3D effect in parts, and an iridescent paint to create a shimmering aura around his character.

I travelled 160 miles to Birmingham to meet him.

He was very kind and friendly and when he saw the painting and said "Wow I have never seen anything like that before!"

He kindly autographed and also dated the painting.

I managed to get some photographs of him signing the painting and he also kindly posed for a photo with me too.
