Marilyn Monroe

This was only the second portrait I painted after my Elijah Wood portrait.

A portrait of one of my favourite actresses, the legendary Marilyn Monroe.

This portrait was inspired by a photo I saw at an exhibition that was unique in that it had never been published in any magazine or book.

I took a photo of it on my phone and then began painting it.

It took over 50 hours of work to paint as it was only my second portrait I ever painted.

I also used a paste to make some areas raised from the canvas.
